HEy gals...
how's everything going? Busy i'm sure..knowing that SACs and other exams and tests are near. But still i'm glad you gals could still come for youth corporate meetings. Just thought i'd start updating this blog. I've just been really busy...exams in a week time and assignments are still piling up. A bit stress, but still surviving. Do pray for me as i continue to keep you gals in mine. *Smile*
Anyway, just thought that what Phil was talking about on friday nite was so relevant to us. So here are some thoughts that i'd like to share.
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
(Ephesians 3:20)
So...there are so many times when we think that it is all God's work, to do miracles and make things happen, while all we need to do is just pray and believe. But Phil was saying that sometimes its not just God doing his thing. Rather it is how His generation respond to Him. He talked about how we as His rising generation should start getting off our lazy bums and start getting involve and make a difference in our high schools, in our families, in our communities. Feeling inadequate to really do anything? Here is what the bible says:
"For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.
To Him be the glory forever! Amen"
(Romans 11:36)
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power,
of love and of self-discipline. So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord..."
(2 Timothy 1:7-8)
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young,
but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."
(1 Timothy 4:12)
Phil said this which really made me realise how important it is for us to recognize that we play such an important role in accomplishing the greatest commission God has for us. He said this: There is a sound that God wants to bring to this generation that gets louder for the cause of Christ.
What will you do? Will you just live life like any other person who doesn't know God, or would you be willing to take the risk, get out of your comfort zone and experience God's power in your life when you take each bold step in being that much closer fulfilling the great commission? Think about it. Feel free to share your thoughts abt what was just written. For all you know it might encourage someone who reads this blog. *smile* I hope this encouragous you to live life differently. Its now 1:30am and i need to get back to studying...so i shall stop here. You gals have a great week that is coming up. And yes, i'll keep you gals in my prayers always because you all are so precious to Him. Hehehe...i love you gals. Hope to see you this friday.
